COOKIE POLICY

TRACKING TECHNOLOGY NOTICE

NJIE Foods AB uses cookies and similar technologies (hereinafter referred to as “cookies”) on the websites Njie.com, Propud.com and Lowcaly.se. The primary purpose is to provide the services that are of interest to the target groups. Furthermore, the websites use cookies to continuously improve the services and ensure that they meet user expectations by understanding how users interact with the websites. In addition, data is also collected to facilitate the provision of more effective, targeted and relevant marketing.

If you would like to know more about how we process the data we collect, you can read our Privacy Notice here!
If you have any questions, please contact us via email at info@njie.com.

WHAT ARE COOKIES AND PIXELS?

We use cookies and pixels on our websites. Cookies are text files sent from our websites or our partners’ servers that are stored on the device you use for your visit. Pixels, sometimes called pixel tags, are small images, often 1×1 pixels in size, that can be integrated on our websites.

We distinguish between:

  • Session cookies that only exist until you close your browser.
  • Persistent cookies that remain on your device until they are deleted or expire.
  • First-party cookies set by the websites you visit.
  • Third-party cookies from external parties.

We may also use other or future technologies to collect information about user behaviour on our websites. Therefore, as a visitor to our websites, it is important that you read our Tracking Technology Notice periodically before accepting the use of such technologies.

WHY ARE THESE TECHNOLOGIES USED?

Our three websites use cookies and similar technologies to provide the service offered and improve the user experience. By analysing anonymised data, we can understand user behaviour, develop our websites and develop new functions to offer you, as a visitor, a better experience. Some of the cookies we use are intended to optimise the website’s performance and security. We also use cookies for targeted marketing, which makes advertising more relevant to you as a visitor.

If we arrange competitions for any of our websites/brands, we may collect certain information to ensure fair treatment of all participants and to be able to arrange the competition at all.

STATISTICS AND ANONYMITY

With the help of technologies such as Piwik PRO, we track traffic on our websites and are thus able to better understand user behaviour. We do our utmost to ensure that all data collected is in summarised form and cannot be linked to specific individuals. We care about and strive to protect your anonymity.

ADVERTISING

Through technologies such as Google Ads, Bing Ads and Meta Ads, we collect data to understand how ads perform and to provide relevant ads. Any information shared with third-party providers does not contain personal data, except in cases where the respective third-party providers already possess such data based on what you, as an individual, have chosen to share with these providers. If you wish to avoid targeted advertising, there are options to opt out of such advertising – more information is available at www.networkadvertising.org/choices/.

DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE THE EU

We wish to inform you that we do our utmost not to transfer your data outside the EU. However, when we use tools such as Bing Ads, Google Ads and Meta Ads to interact with our target group, there are situations where information about you may be transferred outside the EU and this is beyond our control due to the fact that we use advertising tools whose owners are located outside the EU, and prevailing legislation between the EU and other countries makes it possible for companies and state actors to use this data. Examples of the types of data collected may include IP address, device type, browser type, pages visited and time spent on the landing page. We use this information to customise the website, improve content, streamline ads and display tailored ads, and measure the results of our marketing activities.

We also wish to point out that companies such as Google, Microsoft and Meta have undertaken to comply with EU data protection principles, and that they themselves communicate that they implement necessary security measures to protect all personal information they process.

OPTING OUT OF PERSONALISED ADVERTISING & THE USE OF COOKIES

As an individual, you can choose to actively opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads by visiting google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can choose to opt out of a third-party provider’s use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.infoyouronlinechoices.com. If you wish, you can also choose to withdraw your consent for Meta to use your personal information for advertising, via the following opt-out tool: meta-out.noyb.eu.

To disable tracking on our websites, you can change your browser settings or use browser add-ons to block cookies, pixels and other tracking tools.

We care about and respect the value of anonymity online, and we therefore recommend that all individuals do their utmost to limit the possibility of tracking online. However, this may mean that certain functionality and user experience on our website is limited, and that participation in certain competitions is not possible as they are aimed at our target group, which is based on those who visit our websites or other channels.
